LA FETE DU CHAMPAGNE
Peter Liem and Daniel Johnnes are pleased to present La Fête du Champagne, a celebration of the wines of Champagne with over 30 of the region’s most highly-regarded producers in London on the 3rd – 4th November for a weekend of events to include tastings, seminars, and a festive Gala Dinner.
It's set to be quite a weekend with a whole host of special events. Ellory will be at the Grand Tasting, serving up a a special canapé with some of the greatest Champagnes.
This is a truly unique event and we are delighted to be a part of it.
GRAND TASTING – £300 PER PERSON
One of the weekend’s must-attend events, the Grand Tasting will offer guests a selection of wines from each participating producer, totaling over 100 different Champagnes accompanied by a selection of small plates from some of London’s most acclaimed restaurants.
GALA DINNER – £720 PER PERSON
The culmination of La Fête du Champagne, the Gala Dinner will be at The Savoy, one of London’s preeminent venues. Three-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement of l’Assiette Champenoise in Reims will collaborate with chefs including our very own James Knappett of Kitchen Table, Jonny Lake of The Fat Duck, and Isaac McHale of The Clove Club in preparing a luxurious, Champagne-friendly, multi-course menu. In addition to enjoying the special bottles provided by all attending producers, guests are invited to bring bottles of Champagne from their own cellars to share throughout the room. This is sure to be a Champagne-soaked celebration with some of the region’s finest winemakers.

REAL WINE MONTH
In the countdown to the Real Wine Fair 2017 we'll be supporting our friends at Les Caves de Pyrène with Real Wine Month. Wines from Les Caves have been a staple of our list from day one as they are on most great modern wine lists. So it is easy to cobble together a special by the glass selection for you to enjoy.

Ellory X 86 List: Sunday Session April 2nd
Ellory was happy to welcome 86 List for an evening of upcoming hospitality talent from the lovely Natalia Ribbe-Szrok. This time Natalia chose London based couple; Paolo Lancini & Ellen McDougal.
Paolo hails from Italy where he started cooking at the age of 17, working in high and low end restaurants in his hometown of Lombardy. After working his way up to sous chef at 22, Paolo left to explore the vast restaurant land of London. Since arriving, he has spent time Upstairs at The Ten Bells, staging throughout the city and currently calls Peckham's lauded Mediterranean haunt - Artusi, home. For his menu with Eighty Six List, we see him draw influence from both Italy and England, using his imagination to curate unique dishes utilising the best of what is in season.
Pairing the wines on the night was Ellen, who after a short stint in the corporate world found herself in a restaurant. It all started Upstairs at The Ten Bells (so it seems something else was started there...) and it wasn't long before the spark was lit. She followed Upstairs with a stint at 10 Cases before moving to Lyle's, where she fell head over heels for minimal intervention wines and small prodcution vineyards. She says 'It's the stories behind the wine, the families working together and the risks individuals take to produce wines full of love, made with care and unique characteristics' which draw her to wine.
RAW FAIR 2017
Ellory did some of the food at Raw Fair 2017 this year along with Brilliant Corners, Raw Duck, Provisions, Maldon Oysters amongst others.
RAW growers have been a staple on the list since we opened and while we don't brand ourselves as a natural wine place, much of our list features wines that are lower in sulphur because, simply put those wines can be a vivid, thrilling experience.
This year RAW moved from the Truman Brewery to the more refined area of the Strand.
Ed will be poured some wines at the RAW popup on Sunday at The Store Studios.
There was a top crew involved and some great wines on order.
